We restored a late 19th-century henequen plantation with luxurious finishes and comfort. For over 100 years, it witnessed the Yucatán of the green fiber: the work in the fields at dawn, the prayers in the chapels, the long parties under the flamboyant trees in the courtyard. Every semicircular arch, every red henequen tile floor holds that memory.

From historical heritage to life refuge

In the heart of Samahil-Umán, we rescued the majesty of the colonial architecture to adapt it with accessibility and safety standards without altering its serene essence.

Each space was designed to provide a safe environment, fresh air, and the peace that only the Yucatecan countryside can instill in daily life. Guests who stay for more than a few days often tell us the same thing: they start sleeping better after three days. They begin to read again, they have an appetite at the right times. They rediscover long conversations, the kind that no one seems to have time for anymore.

A new awakening

At 5:30 the birds sing in the trees overlooking the main courtyard. Around 6:00, warm light streams in through the high windows. By 6:30, coffee is served in the open kitchen, and anyone who wants a cup can take it out to the garden.

The days begin when the body asks to wake up, and it almost always does so early, without an alarm, with the first songs of the little birds that live in the trees of the hacienda, the thrushes, the toh, the Yucatecan woodpecker or the chachalacas in the distance.
